How does a book make you feel when you read it? Does it transport you to the world that is described to you? I feel as though it certainly should. This editorial project required the use of Adobe InDesign to create a 22-page spread using creative layout compositions, high-quality images, and consistent formatting styles. I chose the topic of Victorian mourning art to guide my design choices towards emphasizing the sense of spirituality, fragility, and mysticism surrounding death culture in the Victorian era based on the text by Deborah Lutz
(originally titled Relics of Death in Victorian Literature and Culture). I used  Photoshop to edit images and  InDesign to develop the completed spreads for professional-level printing.
